Craftfellas is an independent, non-commercial online gaming community operated by friends who share a hobby. We operate a whitelisted Minecraft server in the Netherlands and may also operate temporary or otherwise limited-duration game servers for other games. We maintain this website to provide information about our community and servers.
Craftfellas is not incorporated as a company, association, or other legal entity.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Craftfellas processes, why we process it, how long we retain it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch privacy law. We aim to collect and retain only the personal information that is reasonably necessary for operating our website, Minecraft server, other game servers we may operate, and community.

Discord is the primary communication platform used by the Craftfellas community. Craftfellas may have access to information associated with members of our Discord server, including:
Craftfellas does not maintain a separate database containing this Discord information. The information is primarily stored and managed through Discord's services. We may also use Discord bots to assist with community administration and onboarding. Such bots may process Discord information to perform the functions for which they are used. Messages sent in the Discord server may remain visible in Discord conversations after a person leaves the community or is banned.
Discord is an independent third-party service. Its own privacy policy governs the personal data that Discord processes through its services. Discord states that Discord Netherlands BV is the controller for EEA users and that Discord may process and store information in the United States and other countries.

The website uses Mijndomein SEO Start for search-engine optimisation and related website analysis. SEO Start provides functionality including SEO analysis, traffic analysis, keyword monitoring and other tools intended to improve the website's visibility and optimisation.
Craftfellas does not use Google Analytics or another general-purpose visitor analytics platform.
We do not intentionally use third-party analytics services to create profiles of individual visitors. At present, we have no reason to believe that SEO Start uses tracking cookies to profile individual visitors. We therefore do not describe SEO Start as a visitor-tracking or behavioural advertising service.

Where processing requires consent under applicable law, Craftfellas will request consent before carrying out that processing.
We do not rely on consent for processing that is necessary for the ordinary operation, security, and administration of our game servers where another appropriate legal basis applies.
Minecraft server information is retained while a player remains whitelisted on the server.
A player may be removed from the whitelist:
When a player is removed from the whitelist, their Minecraft UUID, username, and play statistics are deleted from the active server records.
Some information may nevertheless remain temporarily in historical server or chat logs, as described below.
Where Craftfellas operates a temporary or limited-duration server for another game, personal data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, administer, and moderate that server.
The retention period may depend on the nature and duration of the server, the information involved, technical requirements, security and moderation needs, and whether the information is required for the continued operation of the server.
When such a server is permanently discontinued, Craftfellas will aim to delete or otherwise cease retaining personal data associated with the server when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law or the information is retained as part of applicable server or moderation logs.
Where a specific temporary game server has materially different retention practices, Craftfellas will provide additional information where required.
Minecraft chat logs are retained for up to 26 months.
Chat logs older than 12 months are deleted once per year in January by the server owner.
Because chat logs are retained independently from the active whitelist, information relating to a player who has been removed from the whitelist may remain in historical logs until the next applicable deletion takes place.
As a result, a former player's IP address, UUID, username, and login timestamp may remain in historical logs for up to approximately one year after the player has been removed from the whitelist.
Chat or other server logs generated by temporary or other game servers may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for server administration, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, moderation, and investigating incidents, taking into account the duration and circumstances of the relevant server.
Craftfellas does not maintain an independent database containing Discord user information.
Discord information and messages are primarily stored and managed by Discord. Consequently, Craftfellas cannot independently control the retention periods applied by Discord to information stored within Discord's services.
Messages posted in the Craftfellas Discord server may remain visible after a member leaves the server or is banned, depending on Discord's functionality and the circumstances of the message.
Discord's own privacy policy explains how Discord handles retention, deletion, international transfers, and other processing performed through its services.

Mijndomein may process technical information, including IP addresses and server/access log information, as necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the hosting service.
For hosting-related processing performed on behalf of Craftfellas, Mijndomein may act as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR.
Craftfellas uses Discord as its primary community communication platform.
Discord independently processes personal data when users use Discord. This processing is governed by Discord's own privacy policy and terms.
Discord states that personal data of EEA users may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries, subject to the transfer mechanisms described in its privacy policy.
Other than the services described in this Privacy Policy, Craftfellas does not currently intend to provide personal information to external third parties.
If we introduce additional services that materially affect how personal data is processed, we will update this Privacy Policy where required.
Craftfellas operates its Minecraft server on private hardware located in the Netherlands.
The website is hosted by Mijndomein.
Craftfellas may also operate other game servers on private hardware or through hosting infrastructure, depending on the particular game server. Craftfellas itself does not intentionally transfer its Minecraft player database, other game server player data, or server logs to countries outside the European Economic Area.
However, third-party services used by Craftfellas may process information outside the EEA. In particular, Discord states that it processes and stores information in the United States and other countries. Such processing is subject to the third party's applicable legal safeguards and privacy policies.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to sensitive server information is restricted according to role. In particular, access to server logs and IP addresses is limited to the server owner.
Because Craftfellas is a small, non-commercial community operated by individuals, we cannot guarantee that every system or communication channel will be completely secure.

Craftfellas does not intentionally collect additional personal information from children for the purpose of profiling or advertising.
Participation in the Craftfellas Minecraft server and Discord community is subject to our community and server rules.
Craftfellas does not accept anyone under the age of 18 into the community. Our current policy is to accept new members who are 25 years of age or older. We do not require identification to verify a person's age. Instead, we rely on a brief conversation via Discord voice chat to assess whether a person meets our age requirement and is a good fit for the group.
Craftfellas does not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We do not create advertising profiles or behavioural profiles of website visitors.
Moderation decisions, including whitelist removal or bans, may be made by Craftfellas moderators or administrators based on the community's rules. These are human decisions and are not made solely by automated processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, Minecraft server, Discord community, services, or data-processing practices change, or when required to reflect changes in applicable law.
